Controlling Polymer Surface Chemistry: Polymerisation-Induced Self-Assembly (PISA) on Planar Surfaces

报告人姓名:Andrew K. Whittaker

报告人简介:Andrew Whittaker is a professor of physical chemistry with broad experience in polymer synthesis, characterization and the physical chemistry of polymers. He is Senior Group Leader and founder member of the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN). His research aims to develop innovative solutions to major health and nanotechnology challenges. He is a scientific leader, is currently President of the Pacific Polymer Federation (2019-2022), Past-Chair of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute Polymer Division and has served on the Australian Research Council College of Experts. The Whittaker group uses polymer synthetic methods to develop technologies for health care and our modern technological society. Research outcomes include novel high-index resists for 193 nm immersion lithography, new concepts for design of resists for EUV lithography, development of the use of block copolymers for manufacture, development of novel imaging agents for MRI, introduction of a new class of 19F polymeric agents, low bio-fouling polymers. In addition, the group has an international reputation in the field of NMR and MRI of polymeric systems. He has published over 500 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals, has invited and plenary talks > 550.
