报告题目(英文) :Microstructure Optimization in Additively Manufactured Metals through Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering

报告内容简介 :

The microstructures obtained with metal additive manufacturing are very different from those of their conventionally manufactured counterparts. Consequently, the properties of additively manufactured metals can deviate from those for conventionally manufactured metals. Unconventional microstructures may need unconventional treatments to achieve the right properties. Adversely, the unconventional microstructures can provide opportunities to obtain properties that cannot be realized by more traditional manufacturing routes.

The presentation showcases examples from the research activities at the Technical University of Denmark, among which the following topics:

Heat and surface treatment of laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) manufactured austenitic stainless steel

Heat and surface treatment of maraging steel M300

In-situ alloying of stainless steels with interstitials

L-PBF of stainless/tool steel mixtures and titanium/steel mixtures

报告人姓名 :Marcel A.J. Somers

报告人简介(中文) : 丹麦技术大学教授,日本东北大学、美国伍斯特理工WPI等客座教授,国际物理冶金、热化学表面工程及智能制造领域专家。荣获多项国际顶级学术与行业荣誉,包括IFHTSE终身成就奖、Adolf-Martens终身成就奖、Alex Foss金牌,丹麦皇家骑士勋章等。2016年当选ASM International Fellow,是全球膨胀奥氏体领域奠基人,发表论文400余篇,H-index:57,Citations:11980。

报告人简介(英文) : Marcel A.J. Somers received his M.Sc. degree in metallurgy (1985) and his Doctor’s degree (1989) from Delft University of Technology (NL). In 1989/90 he was with Philips Center for Materials, Technology and Innovation as section leader in advanced materials characterization. He returned to Delft University of Technology as assistant professor in physical chemistry of the solid state in 1990 and was appointed full professor of physical metallurgy at DTU in 1997. He is a multidisciplinary expert with strong expertise in surface engineering of stainless steels, additive manufacturing of advanced alloys, thermodynamics and kinetics of diffusive and displacive phase transformations. His achievements in scientific and industrial research were the motivation for the occasionally awarded IFHTSE Medal and Adolf Martens Medal. In addition, he was awarded several prizes: ASM European Lecturer (1999), Reinholdt W. Jorck prize (2001), Alexander Foss Gold Medal (2014), Fellow of ASM International (2016).
